Who we are
This website is run by Sri Ride, a private transport and car rental business at Sri Ride, 514 Galle Road, Panadura, Sri Lanka. We are responsible for the personal information you give us through this site.
What we collect
- When you book or send us a message: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number and, if you give them, your country, flight number and notes.
- For a transfer: pickup, stops and drop-off addresses, dates and times, the number of passengers and bags, and the vehicle you choose.
- For a self-drive rental: where and when you collect and return the car, and the country your driving licence is from. We check the licence and passport themselves when you collect the car.
- Your IP address, kept with each booking to protect the site from spam and abuse.
How we use it
- To quote, confirm and carry out your booking, and to contact you about it by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- To answer your questions and enquiries.
- To keep the records we need for accounting and the law.
- We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Payments
Online advance payments are handled by OnePay (onepay.lk). You enter your card details on OnePay’s secure page; we never see or store your card number. We keep only the payment reference and amount.
Who we share it with
- Your driver, who receives your name, phone number and trip details so they can pick you up.
- OnePay, to take the advance payment.
- The companies that run our website, email and maps: our web host, our email provider, and Google Maps or OpenStreetMap for address search and route distances.
- Website statistics: we use Google Analytics through Google Site Kit to understand how the site is used. It may set cookies in your browser.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as we need them for the booking itself and for our accounting and legal obligations. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
Under Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022, you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it when we no longer need to keep it. Contact us using the details below.
